Dry brushing your face is completely safe as long as you are using a brush with gentle bristles. You also want to make sure you are dry brushing the correct way. Meaning that you are moving in the proper direction. Dry brushing will exfoliate your skin, improve circulation, detoxify the skin, remove fluid retention, and energize the skin. You can dry brush your skin anytime but the most beneficial time is first thing in the morning. Once you have finished gently rinse or wash your face to remove any dead or dry skin.

Both jade rollers and dry brushing are relaxing ways to encourage lymphatic drainage, increase blood flow and enhance the health of your skin. Dry brushing is a wonderful way to exfoliate your skin while jade rollers help skin creams penetrate deeper.
Dry brushing is something you want to incorporate into your regular routine 2-3 times a week to exfoliate your skin and increase cell rejuvenation. Dry brushing preps the skin for creams and makeup by removing dead skin cells and improving the skin’s texture. Always apply super gentle pressure as it shouldn’t hurt or feel uncomfortable.
Jade rollers offer a relaxing and calming way to stimulate circulation, reduce fluid retention, soothe redness and enhance the effectiveness of facial oils and creams. Unlike dry brushing, there is not much of an exfoliating factor when using a jade roller.
A jade roller can be used anytime during the day as long as your skin is clean. My favorite time to use a jade roller is at night after I finished my regular skincare routine. I keep mine in the fridge to cool my skin and reduce puffiness and tension. It’s a great way to relax while I get ready for sleep.
